Peter was born in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada in 1976. He grew up in Brandon, Manitoba and St. Catharines, Ontario and is the youngest of three children. His older siblings, David and Heather, live in Ontario, Canada with their respective spouses. John, Peter’s father, is originally from the Netherlands. Peter’s parents also live in Ontario. Peter enjoys being a musician in Boston. When he is not playing music, he can often be found at Johnson String Instrument where he works part-time. He also enjoys gardening, reading science fiction and being outdoors. Rachel was born in Baltimore, Maryland in 1981, but soon moved to rural Towanda, Pennsylvania. She is the oldest of three children. Her brother Tim goes to college in Great Barrington, Massachusetts. Both her brother Peter and her parents live in Towanda. When Rachel isn’t playing music, she likes to read non-fiction, cook vegan food and attend animal rights events. She works part-time in the library at Longy School of Music as well as doing occasional other music library and music administration jobs. Peter and Rachel started dating at Penn State University in 2002 and got married on June 12, 2004 near Rachel’s hometown. They share interests in healthy, cruelty-free living, house rabbits (their favorite bunnies being Eve and Dorian), fine dining, and being involved with the Episcopal Church. They are thankful to have wonderful friends, colleagues and family who humor them in their pursuit of true happiness as musicians.
